FamilyArkive - our new service for you..
Safeguard your old family photographs. We make digital copies of your most precious photographs and keep them securely for you.
We give you a printed catalogue book of your photo collection and you can view your copy photos in a private web folder.
For the £25 Starter Pack you get this plus an hour of our time at your home - copying and recording your photo collection.
When that is done you can relax in the knowledge that these photos are securely copied. You can buy additional prints whenever you want and even luxury coffee table photobooks of your collection.
The catalogue book is handy to see your collection together in one document - it is small size photographs and includes information about your photograph.
There is a small annual storage fee of £5.
Print prices, when or if you need them, are my standard print prices.

4th March: Prestwick studio
17th March am: Western House, Ayr
22nd April: Southbeach Hotel, Troon
20th May: Savoy Park Hotel, Ayr
17th June: Dumfries Arms Hotel, Cumnock
You are very welcome to come along - just get in touch to book up. There are a limited number of timeslots, which are available on a first come, first served basis. This is free of charge for those that have not already booked their wedding photographer.
The session is around 30 minutes duration focused on what you want from your photographs. We go though some straightforward poses - standing and walking, then we ask you what things you would like to do, what photographs you have seen - and we have an ideas board for inspiration should we need it. We get a shortlist of interesting poses and we get to know what you don't like. We also learn your relative heights, skin tone, "best side" and eye-wear - all of which helps us get the best out of the photographs on the day.

The Ayrshire Wedding Show was fantastic this year. Steady business on Saturday and really buzzing on the Sunday (1000+ attendees). Having paid an entrance fee, the attendees are serious shoppers, who put us through our paces.
It was good to meet the other vendors, the hoteliers, the florists, the videographers, the confectioners and the other photographers of course. We made some new contacts which will help us organise future wedding photography business.
At the event we we offered clients free pre-wedding photoshoot vouchers with the tagline "try-before-you-buy". It met with a varied response, but it always got a reaction which was good.
Prewedding Photoshoots are not a new thing to us - they are not compulsory(!), but we do include them in our photo packages already..
PRE-WEDDING PHOTOSHOOT
These prewedding photoshoots are coordinated for us by wedding photographers Iain Forrest Photography. The photoshoot is a fun 45-minute step-though of key photographs for your wedding. It is a chance for you to try out some poses and photography ideas before you do it for real. Doing this in the Enterkine House marquee will also give you an opportunity to get a feel for this fantastic venue.
Iain Forrest Photography recommends that you do this type of preparation so that you know what you want from your photographer. Here is some feedback from previous photoshoots:
